Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Contribute your expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting by specializing in computerized tomographic (CT) imaging. In this contract position, you'll play a key role in providing critical CT imaging services, while also utilizing your skills in general diagnostic radiology as needed.
Schedule/Hours:
Flexible shifts may be available; specific hours will be discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Experience as a CT Technologist, with proficiency in CT and general diagnostic imaging Valid certification/licensure as required for CT Technologists Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging protocols Demonstrated ability to operate CT and related radiological equipment Comfortable administering intravenous contrast media and responding to possible patient reactions Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems is highly desirable Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with dedication to patient care and teamwork
Key Responsibilities:
Educate and prepare patients for CT examinations, ensuring comfort and safety Review clinical data and patient medical history to determine appropriate imaging procedures Set up and maintain procedure rooms, including stock of necessary supplies Perform CT scans and manually operate equipment for optimal diagnostic results Administer IV contrast media, monitoring for and managing any adverse reactions Prepare and assist with complex, sterile diagnostic procedures as needed Ensure proper use of radiation protection techniques in all imaging processes Manage digital imaging (PACS) and complete thorough documentation within the Radiology Information System (RIS) Collaborate with radiologists to confirm clinical protocols and image quality
