MRI Technologist (Contingent) Michigan Head & Spine Institute - 3.1 Madison Heights, MI Job Details Part-time 4 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Customer communication Interpersonal skills BLS Certification In-person customer service Employee relationship building Attention to detail Organizational skills Productivity software ARRT Certification Associate's degree Full Job Description Contingent opportunity available for an MRI Technologist at Michigan Head & Spine Institute / Premier MRI & X-Ray. •This is a contingent position to cover all Premier MRI locations as needed (Allen Park, Clinton Township, Madison Heights, Novi) •Job Summary As a technologist, you are asked to operate MRI scanners and to ensure that the procedure produces quality images and information for the health care professional to make an accurate diagnosis. You have the chance to work and interact directly with patients as you ensure that they are comfortable and calm. Utilize your medical knowledge by interviewing patients, explaining the procedure and placing the patient in the appropriate spot on the table. Technologists are also organized, detail-oriented people who are familiar with the anatomical area that is being scanned and the patient's history. Job Responsibilities Operate equipment for imaging and anything related on various areas of the body in order to provide high quality images and information for patient diagnosis. Address patient concerns during the procedures, and explain the MRI process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring. Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients, keeping them calm and ensuring that they get the best care possible. Communicate effectively with other radiologists and health care professionals to ensure the message is getting across appropriately. This includes checking and responding to e-mails or issues in a timely manner. Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction. Ensure patient safety with aseptic injection technique and pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure. Provide training to new technologists with regular checks, direction and qualified work samples performed by an experienced team member. Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner when dealing with patients, technicians, office staff, and physicians.

Job Qualifications Required:

Current state licensing Associate degree Current CPR certification Experience working in high-stress environments Self-motivated and self-directed Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organization skills and attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office and other software related to your role

Preferred:

Experience with GE and Phillips HFO preferred Ability to travel to different facilities MRSO certification preferred but not required
