Job Description

Primary Objective:
To ensure efficient and effective delivery of mammography services to our patients and referring physicians.
Responsibilities:
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with extreme focus on high quality patient care Work closely with patients, staff and physicians Able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude Perform mammography and x-ray imaging Verify patient demographics and clinical information for each examination. Check patient orders and correlate with the patient's symptoms and problems as to perform the appropriate imaging study. Thoroughly explain the nature of the procedure to the patient to alleviate patient anxiety associated with the exam, procedure and /or equipment. Provide the necessary assistance to the radiologist and/or physician with procedures. Assist Radiologist, Ultrasound Technologist and other Technologists with invasive breast procedures. Maintain a high level of patient confidentiality in adherence with HIPAA guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved radiologic sciences program. ARRT certification 2 + years experience as a radiologic technologist with certification in mammography. CPR Certified.
