Job Description

Consolidated Precision Products seeks an NDT X-Ray Responsible Level 3 to lead radiographic inspection of complex aerospace castings. This role owns NDT X-ray procedures, technique development, and final interpretation of radiographic results to ensure compliance with customer, OEM, and industry standards. You will certify and mentor Level 1/2 technicians, support audits, and drive continuous improvement in image quality, safety, and throughput. Working closely with engineering and quality, you'll analyze defects, qualify new products and processes, and help sustain CPP's high-reliability aerospace manufacturing. Responsibilities Serve as site NDT X-ray Level 3 responsible individual for aerospace castings Develop, qualify, and approve X-ray techniques, procedures, and work instructions Interpret complex radiographic indications and make final accept/reject decisions Train, mentor, and technically support Level 1/2 NDT personnel Coordinate audits and maintain compliance with customer, OEM, and industry standards Maintain certification records, procedures, and quality documentation Drive continuous improvement in X-ray image quality, throughput, and safety Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production on defect analysis and root cause Support qualification of new products, tooling, and process changes Ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance of X-ray equipment Required Skills Radiographic testing (RT) Level 3 Aerospace casting inspection NADCAP and aerospace NDT standards X-ray technique development and qualification Digital radiography and film interpretation NDT procedure and work instruction writing Root cause and corrective action (RCCA) Audit preparation and compliance Radiation safety practices Training and certification of NDT personnel
