Minneapolis Radiology is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Assistant to support our imaging team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with imaging procedures, and helping ensure the department operates efficiently. The Radiologic Technologist Assistant provides support to the Radiology Department by assisting technologists with patient care, exam preparation, procedural support, and daily department operations. This role plays an important part in creating a safe, efficient, and compassionate experience for our patients. Responsibilities Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the exam process and assisting with positioning under the direction of the technologist. Escort and safely transport patients to and from imaging areas. Assist technologists during imaging procedures and interventional exams. Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and privacy throughout the imaging experience. Prepare examination and procedure rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are clean, organized, and readily available. Clean and disinfect imaging equipment and work areas according to infection control standards. Assist with sterilizing instruments, washing procedure towels, and maintaining procedural supplies. Prepare procedure rooms between cases, including turning over operating rooms and setting up for the next patient. Perform routine daily and monthly cleaning tasks, including floors, vents, and designated equipment. Assist with clerical responsibilities, including answering phones, scheduling support, and managing patient documentation as needed. Support patient flow by assisting with pre- and post-procedure patient care and retrieving equipment or supplies as directed. Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient department environment. Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and visitors. Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members. Comply with all organizational policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards. Demonstrate competency in all required skills and participate in ongoing training and development. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals. Required High school diploma or equivalent Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of workplace safety practices and infection prevention standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely as needed Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service
