Clinical Support II 8655 Ridgeview Medical Center United States, Minnesota, Waconia Sep 16, 2026 Purpose of Job This position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care related activities including: assisting the providers and performing a variety of diagnostic Lab and X-ray procedures according to established policies and procedures. Job Functions When performing nursing support functions Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR
Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensure
Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients
Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day
Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary
Assists with patient education
Performs other duties as assigned When performing Lab and/or X-ray functions Maintains stocked supplies and inventory
Sterilizes instruments, exam rooms and equipment
Performs testing procedures as required
Prepares procedure room/area and instructs patients
Troubleshoots and maintains equipment
Completes daily QA/QC procedures and provides maintenance/adjustments to equipment
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Employment Requirements Minimum Education/Work Experience/License/Certifications Graduation from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical Nursing
Graduate of clinical laboratory program and/or ability to display and complete job competencies
Current LPN Licensure or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Assistant (RMA) (LPNs/MAs will have 1 year to become certified in order to maintain employment)
Current CPR certification Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities Ability to multi-task
Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work autonomously and as a team
Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Knowledge/Skills/Abilities when performing X-ray functions Knowledge of x-ray safety for patients and personnel
Knowledge of proper patient positioning and state radiology regulations
Skill in performing quality control and maintaining records
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and technique problems Knowledge/Skills/Abilities when performing Lab functions Ability to troubleshoot problems with lab testing, equipment, patient samples, and kits
Skill in performing quality control and maintaining records
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and technique problems Preferred Qualifications EMR experience
X-Ray Operator License (grandfathered prior to 2007) or completion of AART limited scope Operator examination per Minnesota Department of Health
