Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. The Mammography Technologist works under the supervision of leadership. The mammography technologist works in direct patient care performing screening and diagnostic mammograms. Works under the direction of the Radiologist during breast biopsies, needle localizations and other interventional procedures related to the breast The Mammography Technologist reviews and evaluate images for quality diagnostic purposes. Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients. > Additional Information

• Calibrating equipment, answering telephone, fine motor skills, inputting data.
• Speaking clearly. Knowledge of body mechanics and BLS.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Interpersonal Skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with patients, staff, visitors, and physicians, etc.
• Must work well as a team member. Essential Physical Requirements
