Duties Operate MRI scanners and related medical imaging equipment to capture high-resolution images for diagnostic evaluation. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the scan. Maintain strict adherence to equipment safety procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety regulations during all procedures. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate image acquisition and optimal diagnostic results. Manage image storage and retrieval using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality. Monitor patient vital signs during procedures, provide basic life support if necessary, and respond promptly to any adverse events or emergencies. Requirements Proven experience operating MRI scanners with a solid understanding of medical imaging principles. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent healthcare provider training. Ability to perform IV insertions and maintain aseptic technique during invasive procedures. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, safety procedures, and radiation safety regulations. Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care. Knowledge of PACS systems for image management and reporting.
