POSITION SUMMARY
The Imaging Department MRI Technologist works under general direction of the Lead MRI Technologist performs MRI exams and related activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One to three years experience performing MRI and/or three to five years experience performing CT scans; strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy; A.R.R.T. certification in
MRI. MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
High school education or equivalent; graduation from an A.R.R.T. accredited school of X-Ray Technology; A.R.R.T. registration in radiography; current Mississippi State Board of Health registration as a Medical Radiation Technologist; CPR for health care workers; ability to work independently and with limited supervision. Physical requirements include ability to work in a highly magnetic field, stand/walk, bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, assist patients in arising from exam table, push wheelchair/stretcher patients, assist patients in arising and returning to wheelchair and/or stretchers.

: Operating hours of Monday
  • Friday 7:00AM
  • 6:00PM, Saturday 6:30AM
