Role:

The X-ray Technologist plays a critical role in the diagnostic process by producing high-quality radiographic images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This position requires expertise in operating radiographic equipment safely and effectively while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging procedure. The technologist must accurately position patients and adjust equipment settings to capture clear images that meet clinical standards. Additionally, the role involves maintaining detailed records of procedures and collaborating closely with healthcare teams to support patient care. Ultimately, the X-ray Technologist contributes to improved patient outcomes by providing essential diagnostic information in a timely and professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program. Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent. Valid Mississippi licensure to practice as an X-ray Technologist. Strong understanding of radiographic procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety principles. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a clinic setting. Additional certifications such as CPR and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).

Responsibilities:

Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate radiographic equipment to capture images according to prescribed protocols and physician instructions. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures to protect patients, staff, and self. Document patient information, imaging procedures, and observations accurately in medical records. Collaborate with physicians and other team members to assure clinic runs smoothly. Fulltime, Monday-Friday, Hours may vary
