Job Description
The Staff Pad has partnered with a renowned hospital in beautiful Helena, MT, to find a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist ready to make a meaningful impact on patient care. As an MRI Technologist, you will perform high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care throughout the imaging process. You will operate advanced MRI equipment, follow established imaging protocols, collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold quality, safety, and regulatory standards to support outstanding patient outcomes.
Schedule:
Per Diem | Weekends, Holidays, Evenings Nights, Standby & Call as needed What You'll Do Perform MRI safety screenings and verify patient identity, pregnancy status, and exam readiness Review implants & medical devices & collaborate with radiologists to ensure MRI compatibility Prepare, educate, position, and monitor patients ad ensure comfort throughout MRI procedures Start IVs, administer contrast, and monitor for adverse reactions Operate MRI equipment and optimize scan quality and efficiency Follow MRI safety standards, including ACR Zone 3 and Zone 4 requirements Review image quality and ensure timely PACS documentation Interpret physician orders and follow established imaging protocols Assist with patient scheduling and workflow optimization Support quality improvement, protocol development, accreditation, and regulatory compliance Monitor equipment performance and assist with inventory and maintenance coordination Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support staff training and development Maintain compliance with State of Montana, CMS, ARRT, ASRT, and all applicable regulatory standards Perform other duties as assigned What We Are Looking For Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of MRI experience required Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology preferred Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) required Current Montana Radiologic Technologist license or permit required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Additional Skills & Requirements Knowledge of MRI principles, safety, implant screening, and contrast administration Proficiency with EMR, PACS, and computer systems Strong patient assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills Critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound clinical judgment Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
