X-rat/CT Tech
  • must do both Radiology and Computer Tomography. Days with on-call shifts 4
  • 10 hour shifts per week: 0730
  • 1830 and 0800
  • 1900 Under general supervision, operates radiographic equipment to obtain ordered radiographs consistent with department routines and procedures.
In doing so, positions patients, adjusts equipment for proper exposure settings, completes the exam in the electronic medical record and verifies the images in the PACs system. Responsible for performing diagnostic imaging services in the speciality of Computed Temography. The technologist is responsible for the safe operation of a variety of equipment to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Interviews patients, explains procedures, and assists in positioning the patient for procedures. Reviews test results with radiologists, referring physicians.
