Perform mammography exams and invasive procedures on patients while adhering to radiology and safety protocols. Responsibilities Operates mammography equipment, computer, and image management systems utilized in performing breast imaging exams. Perform and assess quality control measures on equipment and procedures. Determines how the technique selections affect optimal image quality. Follows policy and procedures. Ability to navigate on-line resources pertinent to job responsibilities. Ability to communicate with other individuals; visual acuity; ability to lift and move patients; push and pull wheelchairs and stretchers; withstand extensive standing, stooping, bending, squatting or sitting; ability to perform repetitive tasks. Demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. Opportunity to cross-train in diagnostic imaging in ED and with portables. Ability to work weekends and shift rotations. Qualifications ARRT registered RT-(R) (M) and meet MQSA standards for performing mammography. Maintains certification in BLS. Personal computer skills Good verbal communication skills Display critical thinking and decision-making skills.
