Operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment, computer systems, and image management platforms to perform high-quality MRI examinations. Select and adjust parameters and imaging options, understanding how these choices affect overall image quality and diagnostic accuracy. Maintain working knowledge of injection systems, patient care monitors, and other related imaging equipment. Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture techniques and patient care skills appropriate for the safe administration of medications and contrast agents. Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and established safety protocols. Effectively navigate online systems and resources pertinent to clinical and job responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Availability to take scheduled call assignments, including weekends and holidays, as required by departmental needs. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Current certification and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS)

Working Conditions:
Potential exposure to any and/or all of the following: chemicals, hazardous materials, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids. Definite exposure to all types of energy and equipment that is consistent with the operation of an MRI system. Able to work rotating weekends, evenings, and holidays. Ability to access entire facility; ability to communicate with other individuals; visual acuity; ability to lift and move patients; ability to withstand extensive standing, stooping, bending, squatting; ability to withstand long periods of sitting; ability to push/pull and operate heavy machines/equipment; ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Education:
Satisfactory completion of an acceptable MRI instruction program consisting of a minimum of 375 hours of instruction. Registered MRI Technologist
