Job Description

Category Imaging - Mammography Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled mammography technologist for a contract position. This opportunity requires strong technical abilities, keen attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to patient care in a busy imaging environment.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts 40 hours per week
Qualifications:
Active ARRT (M) certification Current BLS certification 3-5 years' experience performing mammograms, including both screening and diagnostic imaging Proficiency in operating mammography equipment and critiquing images for quality and accuracy Experience with PACS and EMR systems (EPIC preferred) Ability to manage a patient volume of 17-25 screenings daily Strong patient care, communication, and time-management skills Comfortable providing coverage across multiple sites and working independently
Core Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with established protocols and standards Ensure accurate patient identification, history, and documentation with each procedure Critique images to ensure diagnostic quality; promptly communicate any concerns with interpreting physicians Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness according to safety and infection control guidelines Efficiently utilize PACS and electronic medical records for image storage and patient documentation Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear explanations and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Contribute to seamless workflow and support colleagues as needed in a fast-paced, multi-site setting This role offers the chance to apply your expertise in an active imaging department and make a positive impact on patient experience.
