Certification Full Job Description Come join the only urology specialty clinic in Lincoln! Nebraska Urology is looking for Radiology Tech to work in our specialty clinic and out-patient surgery center. Ideal candidate will have the credentials and we can train the rest! Major Duties and Essential functions
  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays, CT scans and fluoroscopic images following established procedures for patients care and safety.
  • Instructs patients regarding procedures. Observe patients for vital signs during examination.
  • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
  • Provides radiation protection to patients and staff consistent with current knowledge and application.
  • Assures that all equipment is in compliance with state regulations, in good working order, and clean.
  • Major repair and preventative maintenance provided by outside companies.
  • Logs procedures and completes routine paperwork.
  • Maintains log of outside films and films sent out of the office.
  • Prepares Litho/Endo suite before each patient by removing soiled linen equipment, trash, wiping down equipment with disinfectant and mopping floor as needed.
  • Sets up lithotriptor and fluoroscopic equipment by following the operator manuals provided by the manufacture(s).
  • Performs lithotriptor F-2 alignment at initial daily setup and checks calibration prior to each treatment and adjusts as needed.
  • Operate and maintain the Medirex Tripter Compact unit provided.
  • Assists with the transfer of the patient on and off of lithotripsy table. Cross train to help in Clinic
  • Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
  • Record and update patient's medical history and medication lists in the clinic's EMR
  • Take and record in patient's vital signs, and any information needed by provider in the clinic's EMR
  • Perform general nursing care to patients. Observe and report patient's condition and reaction to medications to the physician and or advanced practice provider.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician/provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
  • Responsible for preparation of exam rooms, including re-stocking of treatment areas. Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Current licensure with the State of Nebraska.
  • BCLS Certification (Renewed every 2 years). Preferred Qualification
  • All minimum qualifications.
  • One year experience as a Medical Radiographer.

$28.00 - $33.00 per hour
