MRI Technologist | per diem

Under the immediate supervision of the Medical Imaging Supervisor the MRI Technologist, is responsible for conducting routine MRI procedures and ensuring all Physician and customer needs are met through clinical and administrative tasks. Perform MRI Exams Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols Able to assess plan and provide individualized care for patients taking into account the mental status development and physical needs of each patient based on age Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist with training new staff and students as assigned Follow all radiation safety and infection control guidelines Provide patient and family education related to MRI exams Communicate effectively with Radiologists and referring providers regarding patient findings and exam needs Participate in departmental quality improvement and continuing education activities Operate MRI equipment and monitor image quality, making technical adjustments as needed Ensure patient safety and comfort, including screening for contraindications to

MRI. PACS

Ensures all computed and digital images are properly archived on Synapse Scan Documents in a timely manner Trouble shoot as needed Push images to other Hospitals Burn Cd's/and enter Tech notes into each exam completed HIS/RIS Ensures timely reporting of exams Charges exams correctly Prints Schedules and checks Patient orders Confirms patient identity with two identifiers.

(MR) preferred or eligibility to obtain within 18 months of hire Must be registered with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Current BLS Certification Varied hours dependent on need. May included rotation to evenings, nights and weekends. Call and holiday rotation is required.
