In this vital role, you will operate advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that assist in accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise in MRI, X-ray, and other imaging modalities will ensure precise imaging procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical imaging services within a collaborative healthcare environment. Responsibilities Operate MRI scanners, X-ray machines, and other diagnostic imaging equipment with precision and care, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic evaluation. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the procedure. Perform a variety of imaging techniques including CT scans, DEXA scans for bone density assessment, sonography (ultrasound), and vascular access procedures as needed. Adhere strictly to equipment safety procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety during all procedures. Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to store, retrieve, and manage medical images efficiently for review by radiologists and physicians. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and technical data in compliance with patient safety regulations. Assist in patient care activities related to diagnostic radiology, demonstrating thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support accurate image acquisition. Skills Proficiency in using MRI scanners, X-ray machines, CT scanners, DEXA scan devices, sonography equipment, and other medical imaging tools. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles to guide image acquisition and interpretation support. Knowledge of vascular access techniques and IV insertion to facilitate various imaging procedures requiring contrast or medication administration. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) in emergency situations while maintaining patient safety at all times. Familiarity with medical equipment operation protocols and adherence to equipment safety procedures for optimal performance and patient protection. Experience with diagnostic evaluation processes using medical imaging modalities such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiography. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
