Radiologic Technologist - RWJBarnabas Health Radiologic Technologists play a vital role in patient care by performing diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. They operate radiographic equipment, ensure high-quality diagnostic images, maintain patient safety, and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process. A Typical Day for a
Radiologic Technologist May Include:
Performing diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. Positioning patients and operating imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a positive patient experience. Adhering to radiation safety standards and quality control procedures. Monitoring equipment performance and reporting any operational concerns. Documenting imaging procedures accurately within the electronic medical record. Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members. Reporting identified safety concerns, including hazardous conditions, unsecured areas, equipment issues, and potential medical errors. This Role Might Be for

You are dedicated to maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards. Required Qualifications New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License required. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
