Company:
A leading healthcare staffing organization is seeking qualified Diagnostic Radiology Technologists and Sonographers to support diagnostic imaging services for a VA Hospital in New Jersey. These positions support a range of imaging services including CT, MRI, Ultrasound/Echo, and DEXA within a professional federal healthcare environment.
Position Summary:
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist will provide direct patient care and technical imaging services using the appropriate modality. Duties include preparing patients, performing diagnostic examinations, ensuring image quality, operating specialized imaging equipment, documenting procedures, and maintaining patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures. Perform diagnostic examinations according to established protocols. Operate and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Perform appropriate quality-control measures. Monitor patients throughout examinations and communicate concerns when necessary. Prepare and administer contrast agents as applicable to the modality. Evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic quality. Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation. Prepare digital images for interpretation through PACS. Follow VA radiation safety, infection control, patient safety, and privacy standards.

Toms River, NJ Minimum Requirements:
Current full and unrestricted Radiologic Technology license General ARRT (R) certification for Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists Advanced ARRT certification appropriate to the specialty, including CT or MR as applicable
RDMS/ARDMS
certification for Sonographers RVT certification when performing vascular sonography Current BLS certification Relevant professional imaging experience Ability to successfully complete VA credentialing and onboarding requirements What's in it for
