About Us:
DexaFit Las Vegas provides advanced body composition and metabolic testing using DEXA scanning technology. We serve athletes, health-conscious clients, and patients seeking accurate data on bone health and body composition. We are a small office and provide more intimate, one on one service to our clients. The atmosphere is relaxed and easy-going.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified professional to operate our DEXA scanner and perform bone densitometry exams and other easily trained tests at either our Summerlin or Henderson location (opening soon). This is a light-duty, outpatient role. The typical schedule would be from 8:00am-4:00pm, M-F. Minimum Required Credentials (must hold one of the following to meet Nevada licensing requirements): Nevada Limited License in Bone Densitometry (issued under
NRS 653.520
), OR Nevada Full License in Radiologic Imaging with ARRT certification in: Radiography [RT(R)], or Nuclear Medicine Technology [RT(N)], or Radiation Therapy [RT(T)], OR Out-of-State License Eligible for Nevada Endorsement (must already be certified by ARRT or NMTCB and able to apply quickly for Nevada licensure). Or, if you have been performing radiologic imaging in bone densitometry since before January 1, 2020, you may be eligible to obtain a limited license with an exception clause.
Responsibilities:
Operate DEXA scanner to perform bone densitometry and body composition exams. Ensure patient safety, accurate positioning, and radiation safety compliance. Maintain exam records and follow established QA and safety protocols. Provide
EXCEPTIONAL
customer service in a wellness-oriented setting (no hospital environment). Administer additional tests in the facility (metabolic and VO2 tests, no prior experience required, all training will be provided).
Qualifications:
Active Nevada license (limited or full) OR eligible for Nevada endorsement with
ARRT/NMTCB
certification. Current knowledge of radiation safety principles. Professional, friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented. Works well with minimal supervision, trustworthy, and integrity. Prior DEXA experience is preferred but not required: training on specific equipment will be provided.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate: $25-35/hr depending on license type and experience. Full Healthcare and Dental coverage eligible. Opportunity to work in a unique, wellness-focused clinic environment with minimal stress or oversight compared to hospital imaging.
