The successful candidate will operate MRI and diagnostic radiology equipment to produce high-quality images used for medical diagnosis and treatment while providing safe, professional patient care.
Responsibilities include:
Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols. Operate MRI and diagnostic imaging equipment safely and effectively. Position and prepare patients for examinations while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Screen patients for MRI safety considerations and contraindications. Review images for technical quality and completeness. Maintain accurate patient and examination documentation. Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Follow all applicable hospital, safety, regulatory, and privacy requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating diagnostic radiology equipment. Must have worked as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting within the last 6 months. Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiologic Technology educational program. Current ARRT certification, including certification in the MRI specialty. Current BCLS certification. Current professional liability insurance. Strong patient-care, communication, and technical skills.
Preferred Experience:
Hospital-based MRI experience. Experience with multiple MRI examinations and imaging protocols. Experience in federal, military, or other regulated healthcare environments.
