Full Job Description Job Title:

MRI Technologist Specialty:

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)

Site:

VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS),

Radiology Department Location:

6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086-4400

Duration:

1 year contract with the option of 4 one-year extensions

Shift Schedule:

Days, nights, weekends, and holidays; swing and graveyard shifts possible; 40 hrs/week baseline; schedule subject to change at short notice

Credentialing/Onboarding Time:

6 8 weeks

Certifications:

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT primary MRI certification BLS (American Heart Association)

Special Skills Needed:

MRI safety protocols and screening for contraindications Venipuncture/contrast administration Pulse-sequence selection and image optimization Cross-training radiologic technologists in MRI physics/positioning/coil selection

Responsibilities:

Patient identification, screening, and education prior to scanning Performing MRI examinations per physician request Maintaining MRI suite cleanliness/infection control Serving as liaison to management on MRI section operations Maintaining protocol exam booklet Prime Physicians is a physician-led, The Joint Commission (TJC) Accredited, ISO 9001 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised organization.
