Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic exams according to physician orders and department protocols. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education before, during, and after imaging procedures. Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA standards for patients and staff. Accurately position patients and adjust technical factors to obtain optimal images. Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment, PACS, RIS, and EHR systems. Verify patient identity and imaging orders; document and label images correctly. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support timely, accurate diagnosis. Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards. Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and safety initiatives.
