$65 - $76/hour Position Overview We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform CT procedures and diagnostic imaging studies in a hospital Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hospital-based CT experience , strong patient-care skills, and experience following imaging protocols, radiation-safety standards, and quality-assurance procedures. Cardiac CT experience is preferred/required. Responsibilities Perform CT procedures according to established protocols to produce accurate and high-quality diagnostic images. Select appropriate kV and mA techniques based on patient and examination requirements. Perform daily quality-control and equipment calibration checks. Verify that imaging equipment is properly calibrated and functioning before performing patient studies. Assess and respond appropriately to patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures. Administer contrast or radiopharmaceutical agents according to physician orders and established protocols. Perform quality-control, quality-assurance, and safety testing. Follow radiation-safety guidelines and comply with the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle. Maintain department documentation, equipment logs, manuals, and charge documents. Identify and report equipment issues and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient images and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation. Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses when required. Receive and verify radiopharmaceuticals according to departmental policies and procedures. Verify dose activity levels before administration. Provide appropriate patient monitoring and support throughout imaging procedures. Follow all departmental policies, imaging protocols, and patient-safety standards. Required Education Graduate of a JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology . Bachelor's Degree required. Required Licensure & Certifications Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.) . Active ARRT Certification . Active AHA BLS Certification . Active
AHA ACLS
Certification . Required Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital Radiology department . Strong experience performing CT procedures. Cardiac CT experience preferred/required. Strong patient monitoring and assessment skills. Knowledge of Radiology procedures and CT imaging protocols. Ability to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures. Strong understanding of radiation safety and quality-assurance procedures. Ability to operate CT imaging equipment safely and effectively. Strong communication and patient-care skills. Must be able to speak, read, and write English . Schedule & Assignment Details Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Day Shift 40 hours per week Fully onsite 13-week contract
