Position Overview The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with ARRT standards, NYS regulations, and established imaging protocols.
Responsibilities include:
Performing MRI examinations per physician orders and established protocols Screening patients for MRI safety and reviewing medical history Educating patients and ensuring comfort throughout procedures Positioning patients accurately for optimal image acquisition Adjusting scanner parameters to optimize image quality Administering contrast and initiating IV access as required Monitoring patients during exams and responding appropriately Reviewing images for technical quality and completeness Maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring HIPAA compliance Supporting a clean, safe, and organized MRI environment This role emphasizes technical expertise, independent judgment, and a commitment to diagnostic accuracy. Qualifications ARRT registered in MRI Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent Current CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) Minimum of 2 years MRI experience preferred Strong technical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively Work Environment Professional outpatient imaging center In-person position Structured workflow and steady scheduling Commitment to safety, compliance, and clinical excellence If you are seeking an outpatient MRI position that offers both professional standards and personal balance, we encourage you to apply.
