Per Diem;Monday-Friday, Variable Hours, Rotating Day Shifts, Rotating Weekends SUMMARY As a Mammo Tech, you are to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills, and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients. Warm and comforting patient care skills are mandatory for these sensitive procedures. Performs screening and diagnostic mammogram examinations and assists the radiologist in performing mammographic procedures. This team member's role is to obtain images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to the patient undergoing these exams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary. Performs screening, diagnostic, and/or assists in performing mammographic procedures. Monitors image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all image quality is within alignment with the ACR quality standards. (American College of Radiology). Monitors equipment for proper performance and functionality. Performs daily and periodic Mammography QA activities under the direct supervision of the Mammo QA technologist. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent NYS license in Radiologic Technology OR must hold a NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT-R) required within six months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior Radiologic Technologist experience. ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work with various software applications. Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

PAY RANGE
$29.50
  • $42.
50 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
