Job Description

Category Imaging - Radiology Tech Job Type Contract Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care in a dynamic radiology department. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Tech with a solid background in the operating room and experience working in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Hospital setting.
Schedule:
Five 8-hour shifts, 15:00-23:30 Every third weekend rotation (same hours), including call time during assigned weekends
Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in operating room radiology procedures Prior experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Hospital required State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, and ARRT certification Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles Excellent communication skills for interaction with physicians, radiologists, patients, and ancillary staff Working knowledge of information service systems and digital imaging platforms Ability to educate patients and provide comprehensive documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform routine, portable, and fluoroscopic imaging studies, including in the operating room, as requested by referring physicians Accurately complete all required documentation and requisitions Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient outcomes Adhere to safety regulations and ensure compliance with all radiological protocols and hospital policies Provide thorough patient education to ensure a supportive and informative care experience Track and report incidents according to policy, supporting a culture of safety and continuous improvement Execute all clinical procedures according to accepted practices and regulatory standards This is a great opportunity to put your radiology expertise to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and extend exceptional care to patients and providers.
