CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities:

Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure tohelp them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling. Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:

HCP's currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position) Two (2) Years' Experience Level 1 Trauma Center Experience BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Telemetry Preferred:

Injection certification preferred-must be willing to complete during orientation process. Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
