Overview St. John's Riverside Hospital is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Cat Scan Technologist. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical imaging, with a focus on computed tomography (CT) scans, and demonstrate proficiency in various diagnostic procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate imaging services that support critical diagnostic evaluations and patient care. Details $74/hr Monday - Friday 8 week assignment Rotating weekends 8-4pm Schedule Start Date 5/25/26 Responsibilities Operate CT scanners to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients' anatomy for diagnostic purposes. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to ensure high-quality imaging results for diagnostic evaluation. Assist in performing specialized imaging procedures such as PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, and sonography when required. Monitor patient condition during procedures, especially in emergency room or urgent care settings, providing immediate support as needed. Keep detailed records of procedures performed, equipment maintenance, and patient information in compliance with hospital policies. Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and maintain certification requirements. Requirements Graduate of an approved school for Radiologic Technology. Licensed for New York State in Radiologic technology including permit for injections. Registered or eligible by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; advanced certification preferred. 1-2 years of Cat Scan experience required Understands written and verbal instructions.
