Scheduled:

Summary:
Operates Magnetic Resonance Equipment to produce MR images of patients. Ensures that all aspects of patient's records are processed properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner. Performs other assigned duties as training and skills allow.
Formal Education Required:
a. Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Prefer cross sectional anatomy knowledge. b. Preferred graduate of approved school of MRI Technology and/or registered by the ARRT for MRI. c. Willing to cross train CT Technologist with intent to obtain didactic MRI courses of ones choosing.
Experience & Training Required:
a. One (1) year MRI Technologist experience preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Ability to appropriately communicate with patients, physicians and other hospital employees. b. Ability to calibrate and operate equipment, properly position patients and to apply and adjust restraining devices. c. Ability to lift and position patients. d. Successful completion of training to perform other radiology procedures (e.g. select X-ray procedures, etc.) e. Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records management as directed. f. Ability to initiate CPR (CPR Certification) g. Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy. h. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
