Job Description
QUICKmed Urgent Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join our urgent care team. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic X-ray procedures, ensure high-quality imaging, maintain radiation safety standards, and support the clinical team in providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols. Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Properly position patients for various radiographic procedures. Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and effectively. Follow all radiation safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. Verify patient identity, examination orders, and appropriate imaging procedures. Assist patients with mobility and positioning when necessary. Communicate effectively with patients and explain procedures clearly. Recognize and appropriately respond to patient concerns or changes in condition. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Ensure imaging equipment and work areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained. Follow infection-control procedures and workplace safety standards. Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, front-office staff, and other members of the healthcare team. Assist with other clinical duties as needed to support efficient urgent care operations. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current ARRT certification or eligibility, as applicable. Current state-required Radiologic Technologist license/certification. Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required according to position requirements. Previous experience in urgent care, outpatient, orthopedic, or emergency settings preferred. Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, procedures, and radiation safety. Excellent communication and patient-service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment. Dependable, professional, and team-oriented. Ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
