Know Your Team:
Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care and urology. This position is accountable for operating the C.T. scanner, transportation of patients to and from the department, handling telephone scheduling of inpatients and outpatients. The incumbent is responsible for calling the physician with the report of the exam. Must be able to start an IV line to administer contrast fluid. Must demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate proficiency in operating the PACS computer system. Will participate in performance improvement initiatives. Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day to day operation of the department .
Job Requirements:
Vocational/Technical education. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) or registry eligible. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
1 year of experience.
