Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated X-ray Technician to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, the X-ray Technician will be responsible for performing various diagnostic imaging tests, including X-rays, CT scans, and sonography. The successful candidate will be working in a Level I Trauma Center, ER, and will have the opportunity to work with patients in need of urgent medical attention. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in anatomy and diagnostic evaluation, and will be skilled in nuclear medicine and mammography.
Duties:
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring they are properly positioned and comfortable throughout the process.
  • Conduct X-ray scans utilizing high-quality imaging equipment to capture detailed images.
  • Operate computerized imaging systems, taking care to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and medical professionals to analyze patient data and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
  • Document patient information and test results accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a certified X-ray technician program.
  • Current state license or certification in radiography.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to lift, move, or transport patients or equipment, as needed.
  • Familiarity with computerized imaging systems and software.
  • A commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
