Know Your Team:
? Hillcrest Hospital Pryor is a 48-bed acute care hospital that provides a range of health care services to the community, including emergency services, urology, ENT, gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery and wound care. Under general supervision of the Radiologist and Radiology Manager, the X-Ray Tech Student performs diagnostic tests, patient care, and selects appropriate technical factors to ensure proper diagnosis of patients. This individual must be able to operate diagnostic imaging equipment while under the direction of a Radiology Technologist. This individual must maintain appropriate exposure levels according to ALARA standards. This individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. This individual will perform technical and clerical duties as delegated by Radiology Manager and/or Registered Radiology Technologist.
Job Requirements:
Currently attending an Accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program at a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.. ARRT or ARRT Registry eligible (upon successful completion of Accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program) BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Competency in components of Radiography practice as appropriate.
