Cliff Richardson The Deer Creek Radiographer Digital Trainer will be responsible for providing technical support, leadership, and continuous improvement to staff pertaining to the specific discipline all while ensuring that quality, safety, and production requirements are met.

Requires and promotes safety first for all employees Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Must have good organization and people skills Proficient computer skills are a must Capable of prioritizing work and shift setup in accordance with production requirements Coach/Train others on production Radiographer Digital techniques Able to train employees and ensure work instructions are met Must be able to identify different learning styles and successfully deliver training using different methods Work in conjunction with supervision and Deer Creek Training Coordinator to ensure training requirements are met and maintained: Regular audit and evaluate trainee's work Develop and modify training plans to ensure trainee's success Evaluate training materials and update as necessary Develop and deliver exams Maintain accurate, complete, and timely training records Ensure that employees have necessary tools to complete required tasks Promotes a harassment free environment for all employees, contractors, and staff Able to work with limited direct supervision Works well under pressure Corrects deficiencies and notifies appropriate parties when a process is variant Flexible on shift adjustment, if necessary, for business and training purposes Promote process control within department and takes action to determine corrective action when needed Ensure that the quality requirements are being followed by all Handles first-line performance issues and notifies supervision when further action is required to improve performance Ability to evolve and learn new skills Inspect all employees in training parts for completion and Radiographer Digital processes Maintain excellent standing in attendance

Minimum Requirements:
Actively working in Department 089 Deer Creek X-Ray Currently working as a Radiographer Must have less than 4 unexcused absences Must not be on a written step 2 or higher within the last 12 months Must be in your current role for a minimum of one (1) year Must be TATS certified prior to training employees
- if not TATS certified, must become TATS certified within two (2) weeks of being awarded the position Primary Duties & Responsibilities 1.
Setup Objective:
to accurately set up castings for radiography.
Essential Job Functions:
Checks routing or requests to determine x-ray needs on parts. Reviews Technique Cards to determine setup requirements, including x-ray techniques, part positions and Film/IP requirements based on Techniques Cards. Sets up additional radiographs of defect areas not covered by Technique Cards. Inspect condition and maintain Film/IP and cassettes. Follow proper handling techniques. Sets up castings on tables in x-ray machines including fixturing, placement of Film/IP's, and DICOM tag identification and penetrameters on Film/IP; sets exposure parameters. Determines priority of radiographs to be taken. Develops best practice setup requirements for newly developed techniques when needed. Visually inspects castings for dirt, penetrant, grinding debris etc. 2.
X-Ray Operation Objective:
to effectively and accurately operate x-ray machines and produce radiographs within customer specifications.
Essential Job Functions:
Operates x-ray machine control panels and equipment to take multiple views of castings, adjusting radiographic variables such as tube height, voltage and exposure times within customer specifications. Monitor, Maintain, and generate exposures for System Qualifications on X-ray equipment per customer and PCC specifications. Regularly conducts more than one radiographic examination concurrently, and is expected to be able to operate all machines. Removes Film/IP from casting for image processing, while maintaining proper Film/IP handling techniques . After image processing, checks samples of radiographs on each casting for inner fearing Artifacts, clarity, coverage, pixel value and sensitivity; makes changes within customer and PCC specifications; records any changes made; reshoots exposure when needed. Willingness to be audited without notice by all Auditors both PCC Internal and External auditing groups. e.g.
PCC NDTE, NADCAP, ISO
9000,etc. Trains, mentors, and assists less skilled Radiographers with setup and operational techniques as needed and assigned. (Marginal job function in NDTE departments) Completes logs and records, and records any modifications to Technique Card specifications. Meets all production and quality standards. 3.
Safety Objective:
to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices; to comply with PCC radiation safety practices.

Adheres to plant and department safety rules. Safely operates all equipment and tools. Identifies and reports safety problems. 4. OTHER (MARGINAL)

ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES, TOOLS AND/OR MACHINERY
: x-ray machines hoists pallet jacks pentrameters styrofoam blocks wooden wedges and blocks straps and chains clamps Digital IPS (Image Processing Station) image detectors (imaging plates or IP's and digital panels) lead back ups levels, protractors, rulers, tape measure, angle finders cassettes fixtures calculators cameras (technique development and NDTE departments only) Experience & Education Training is provided on the job. Radiography Level 1 Courses must be completed (radiation safety, digital method training, etc.) Radiographer Level l Certification must be completed for all modalities (Film, CR, DDA). Must re-certify
- Level 1 every five years.
Required Skills Radiography skills as demonstrated by the competent performance of all duties OR an equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience. High school graduation of GED (necessary for NDT Certification) Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Ability to read, follow and interpret Technique Cards, Quality Control Manuals and other technical specifications. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
