Job Description

Company Overview Salem Radiology Consultants specializes in diagnostic medical imaging and radiology services. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality imaging solutions to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient care. Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented LXMO (Licensed Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist) to join our dynamic radiology team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various imaging modalities, including urgent care settings, emergency rooms, and trauma centers. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient-centered diagnostics through advanced radiologic procedures while adhering to strict safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate a wide range of radiologic imaging equipment, including X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT (Computed Tomography), PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, and nuclear medicine procedures. Perform diagnostic evaluations with precision, ensuring high-quality images for accurate interpretation by radiologists. Implement and adhere to radiation safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and oneself during all imaging processes. Assist in interventional radiology procedures and interventional radiography with meticulous attention to aseptic technique and patient safety. Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures clearly, ensuring comfort, and maintaining professionalism throughout the imaging process. Collaborate with emergency medicine teams and Level I or Level II trauma centers to support urgent and critical diagnostic needs. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to medical imaging. Qualifications Valid licensure as an LXMO with certification in radiologic technology. Willing to go through the ASRT and OBMI course in the first 3 months of hire. Proven experience in urgent care, emergency room settings, or trauma centers, preferably at Level I or Level II trauma centers. Proficiency in sonography, mammography, DEXA scans, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, and other advanced imaging techniques. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Demonstrated ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment safely and effectively. Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols consistently. Experience with patient care in high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or trauma units is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills coupled with a thorough understanding of medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes.
