This dual-role position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care while performing both medical assisting and limited diagnostic X-ray services in support of our physicians and advanced practice providers. The ideal candidate is a team oriented healthcare professional who thrives in a fast paced sports medicine environment. This individual will assist with diagnostic imaging while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and professionalism. Limited X-Ray Responsibilities Operate X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images of specific body parts, following physician orders and safety standards Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during Diagnostic Xray. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of diagnostic Xray. Provide patient education regarding the imaging process and any necessary preparations. Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of medical imaging. Stay current with advancements in medical office radiologic technology and participate in ongoing professional development Support diagnostic evaluation processes by providing high-quality images for accurate interpretation by radiologists or physicians

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examination, including taking vital signs and medical histories Assist physicians during examinations and procedures Perform basic laboratory tests and collect/prep specimens for testing Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly sterilized Educate patients on medications, procedures, or physician instructions Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records (EMR/EHR systems) Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to clinical staff Medication/imaging/Prior Authorization Assist with specimen collection Oversee all opening and closing duties (not split duties as is with other PSS locations) Ordering and clinic supply management - pain management & Medline Room re-arrangement (furniture/equipment) for provider access and patient safety DME coverage - As needed

Qualifications:

Certification as a Limited X-ray Technician or equivalent credential with valid licensing Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices in medical imaging environments Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients High school diploma or equivalent (required) Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) is preferred Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Knowledge of medical terminology, basic clinical procedures, and HIPAA regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities
