Radiology Assistant Regenerative Orthopedic Center, LLC - 4.0 Tualatin, OR Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation HIPAA High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Patient interaction Full Job Description Regenerative Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Radiology Assistant to support our X-ray team and help maintain an efficient, positive experience for patients. This is a clinical support position. The Radiology Assistant will not take X-rays, operate radiographic equipment, position patients for imaging, or interpret imaging orders or results. What You'll Do Review imaging orders for completeness, required views, and laterality. Notify the appropriate clinical team member or radiologic technologist when an order is missing, unclear, or appears inconsistent. Escort patients to and from the X-ray area. Confirm patient identity using established procedures. Obtain and document patient height and weight. Help patients prepare for imaging, including changing into a gown when needed. Assist patients using wheelchairs, walkers, braces, or other mobility devices. Prepare and reset X-ray rooms between patients. Clean approved surfaces and restock supplies. Help manage patient flow and communicate delays or workflow concerns. Update or route imaging documentation in the Electronic Medical Record. Follow all radiation safety, HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and workplace safety requirements. Provide other non-radiographic support to the department as assigned. What This Position Does Not Do The Radiology Assistant is not authorized to: Take X-rays or activate radiographic equipment. Position patients for radiographic exposures. Select or change imaging views or protocols. Interpret imaging orders or results. Provide clinical advice or communicate diagnostic findings. Perform duties requiring radiologic technologist licensure or certification. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous healthcare, clinical support, or patient-facing experience preferred. Strong attention to detail. Professional and compassionate communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn electronic medical record systems. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries. Current Basic Life Support certification or ability to obtain it within the required introductory period. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing and walking, assisting patients with routine mobility, pushing wheelchairs, and bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday. The employee must also be able to lift and carry supplies associated with the position.
