Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures utilizing established imaging protocols with minimal supervision. Administer oral, rectal, and intravenous contrast media in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies. Assess patients for contraindications and potential risk factors prior to contrast administration. Operate advanced imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, reconstruct, and document diagnostic images. Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment to adjust scanning protocols and optimize image quality. Perform venipuncture and safely operate power injectors according to established guidelines. Ensure proper patient identification and adherence to all safety standards and universal protocols. Review physician orders and patient histories to ensure appropriate imaging studies are performed. Complete accurate documentation and ensure imaging studies are properly archived and transmitted for interpretation. Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, ease concerns, and provide an exceptional patient experience. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. 58 Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. ARRT registry-eligible candidates are welcome to apply and must obtain ARRT certification within 6 months of hire . Graduates of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program must obtain Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTCB/CNMT) within 6 months of hire . CT certification is required within 18 months of obtaining the primary registry credential or within 18 months of hire if the primary registry has already been obtained. Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism. Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances ARRT Certification or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTCB/CNMT) required within designated timelines. CT Registry required within 18 months of obtaining primary registry certification or hire date, as applicable. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required within 30 days of hire. Certification must meet American Heart Association (AHA) standards and include both classroom instruction and hands-on skills demonstration.
