Role Overview:

Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and research radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquiring and analyzing data for interpretation by licensed practitioners. They independently execute or assist with radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to legal and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety. Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed. Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and ensure data storage or transfer. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers. Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the radiology department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology. New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months. Applicants hired after a specific date must progress to level 2 within 24 months.
