SUMMARY OF JOB

Under the Direct supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, technicians are specially trained in the safe handling and administration of radionuclides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes as well as the operation of specially designated imaging and computer systems. These skills are utilized to perform various exams for the purpose of diagnosis interpretation by the Radiologist and Cardiologists.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Nuclear Medicine Program A.R.R.T.( American Registry Radiologic Technology) Certification and/ or CNMT (Certification with Nuclear Medicine Board) Experience with SPECT systems, cardiac imaging, and computer acquisition and processing. Must be available to rotate "on call" evenings, weekends, and holidays. CPR Certified

LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

A.R.R.T. Certifications/ or CNMT Certification Must sustain 24 CEU's within 3 years One hour of annual stroke education
