Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities:

Responsible for tech quality assurance program and the reviewing and updating of protocols alongside of or in place of the lead technologists. Assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment Assist with accreditation responsibilities. Attends advanced training sessions and seminars to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques and disseminates information to imaging departmental leadership and as a part of new hire orientation. Performs job responsibilities of PET CT Tech & Nuclear Medicine Tech Leads training on new techniques and protocols for research studies and collaborates with radiologists and researchers where applicable to identify new techniques and problem-solving resolutions. Serves as a technical resource to technologists on a daily operational basis. Assist technologist with continuing education needs and participate as a peer delegate in staff annual performance reviews. Creates and implements new training programs, where applicable, and assists with the startup of new offsite locations. Responsibilities for new locations include, but are not limited to, working on reporting systems, obtaining appropriate images, and effectively communicating with attending physicians as well as co-workers and patients
