from hospital based jobs? Weinstein Imaging Associates is a small, independent medical imaging practice in Pittsburgh, PA, providing quality imaging with compassion. Established in 1980, we specialize in breast imaging, ultrasound, and DXA. We are currently seeking a full-time (or part-time) mammography technologist. We offer a competitive salary, generous benefit package, and a safe and friendly working environment. Our goal is to provide the highest quality service to our patients, with quick appointments and same-day results. We are engaging, rewarding and professional. Full-time employment offers a 36-hour work week (9-hour work day, 4 days a week; no call or weekends). Additionally, we feature a modern office setting, state-of-the-art equipment, and supportive colleagues and physicians.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered Technologist (ARRT) Additional ARRT certification in Mammography (M) definitely preferred; candidates who are board eligible will be considered. We also offer to mammography training to qualified candidates! Experience with Tomosynthesis preferred
GENERAL OVERVIEW
To perform mammography procedures in accordance with our practice standards, policies, values, and mission.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews patients' history and referring MD orders. Enter patients' breast history and other essential information into the EMR. Educate patients regarding the procedures, equipment and exam to ensure their understanding and cooperation. Prepare equipment/supplies; chooses appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Utilize safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on the equipment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Participates in ensuring compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations. Position patients and perform imaging procedure(s); identify issues with the quality of imaging results; resolve image quality issues. Utilize PACS. Perform other duties as assigned.
OTHER:
The ability to perform DXA studies is a plus, but is not required. Travel/rotating between our three office locations (South Hills, North Hills, Bloomfield) is required. We are seeking a full-time employee. However, if you are interested in part-time, please apply, as part-time may also be considered.
