Working closely with physicians and care teams, you will help provide accurate diagnostic information and support minimally invasive procedures that improve patient outcomes. What You'll Do Perform interventional imaging procedures while utilizing proper positioning techniques and radiographic principles. Administer contrast according to established protocols under the direction of the proceduralist. Prepare patients for procedures, monitor patient status, and ensure a safe, positive experience throughout their care. Verify patient identity using two patient identifiers and follow universal protocol and time-out procedures. Review patient histories, physician orders, and departmental protocols to ensure optimal image quality and procedural outcomes. Maintain a sterile environment and support aseptic technique during all procedures. Educate patients about their procedures, answer questions, and help ease concerns with clear, compassionate communication. Accurately document patient information and procedure details within the electronic medical record. Ensure exams are properly coded, tracked, archived, and charged through departmental systems. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to provide efficient, high-quality patient care. Assist other imaging areas with general radiographic procedures as needed.
