Job Description
Jefferson Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging for diverse patient populations in an academic health system. You will operate CT scanners, follow ALARA radiation safety principles, and ensure accurate, timely imaging to support diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include patient assessment and positioning, IV contrast administration, documentation in EMR, and collaboration with radiologists, nurses, and other team members. You'll uphold infection control, assist in emergencies, support students or new staff, and embody Jefferson's patient-centered, empathetic, and collaborative culture. Responsibilities Perform high-quality CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols Assess, prepare, and position patients for CT procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Administer IV contrast using appropriate screening and monitoring for reactions Apply radiation safety principles and maintain compliance with regulatory standards Document procedures and patient information accurately in the EMRCollaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, reporting issues promptly Follow strict infection prevention and control procedures Assist in radiology-related emergencies and urgent imaging needs Support training and orientation of students or new technologists as needed Required Skills CT imaging protocols Radiation safety Patient positioning IV contrast administration Venipuncture Electronic medical records (EMR) Image post-processing Anatomy and physiology knowledge Infection control Emergency response in radiology
