Overview:
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team in a full-time, day shift position. Up to $15,000 Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates! Hours Full Time, Day Shift, 40 hours per week Overview Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patient records, reports, and files. Performs patient MRI exam per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation, examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Education Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24 month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience Certification/Licensure CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (Required) Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire

The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.24 - $61.82 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
