Job Description

Job Summary:
This position is under the general supervision of the team leads and the direct supervision of the manager of Diagnostic Imaging. Expectations are aiding and supporting CT, X-ray and MRI department with daily operations, preparing the exam room, transporting, assisting with stocking and cleanliness of the work area. Performing related duties such as completing forms and logging data into systems accurately and completely. Following procedures to ensure correct patient identification. Preparing room for the imaging procedure, including proper patient positioning to facilitate an accurate study. Transporting patients, assisting technologist during the preparation and administration of contrast. Scanning patient screening forms and all other pertinent medical documents including consent. Clean up and set up the exam room and dressing rooms before an after use. Maintain proper laundry inventory within the exam rooms. Discharge the patient when the exam is complete and upon technologist's direction. Acts as a liaison between front desk and modalities. Assists in other areas as requested.
Reports to:
Diagnostic Imaging Manager Minimum Qualifications:
Equivalent to a high school diploma. Ability to read and write in English and to perform basic arithmetic computations to verify shipments and perform stock reconciliation. Clerical ability to maintain files and operate standard office equipment such a photocopier, fax and computer terminal. Interpersonal skills to exchange information with other department personnel, patients and visitors.
