Job Description

Join HCA Healthcare as a CT Technologist at our free-standing Emergency Department in Johns Island, SC. In this role, you'll perform high-quality CT imaging exams for emergency and urgent patients, following physician orders and radiation safety standards. You'll prepare and position patients, operate CT scanners and PACS, and collaborate closely with ED physicians and nurses to support rapid diagnosis and treatment. You will verify patient identity, obtain histories, and document exams accurately. Responsibilities Perform CT imaging exams per physician orders and protocols Prepare, position, and monitor patients during CT procedures Operate CT scanners, inject contrast, and manage imaging parameters Ensure radiation safety and follow all regulatory standards Verify patient identity and obtain relevant clinical history Document exams accurately within RIS/PACS and EMR systems Collaborate with ED physicians and nurses for timely patient care Perform equipment quality checks and report service issues Maintain clean, safe imaging environment and infection control Provide compassionate, clear communication to patients and families Required Skills CT imaging operation Patient positioning Radiation safety Contrast administration
