Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our medical team. As an X-ray Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients (plain radiography and CT imaging). Must be Certified in General Radiology- CT certification is a plus, but not required (willing to help obtain CT certification).
Duties:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Position patients correctly to obtain the necessary images
- Operate X-ray machines and adjust controls to produce clear and accurate images
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of information
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Proficient in operating X-ray equipment and related technologies
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols
